For Birth Workers

Whether you’re just starting in birth work, or are looking for an expansion - you will find a variety of opportunities to grow with WBP

Whole Body Pregnancy begins with introspection and self-discovery - what draws us to this work? What biases do we hold? What do we believe? Through this careful uncovering, WBP participants move through the material with an eye on reproductive justice, ways in which white supremacy and anti-Black racism impact pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, and with the understanding that we are in practice - not aiming for perfection. We do this work holistically through breath work, meditation, journaling, and ritual.

There are two care WBP Trainings : Postpartum Care Provider Training (Doula Training) and Childbirth Educator Training.

I also provide Mentorship for Doulas interested in working with me privately.

Doula Mentorship

Are you a new doula just starting out?
Have you been a doula for a while, but still trying to figure out your flow?
Are you a doula who is burned out and needs some new inspiration?
Let me help! I’ve been a birth worker for over a decade as well as the owner and founder of Whole Body Pregnancy. I’ve trained over 300 birth workers and would love to share some of my insight with you. Whether we work together for a single intensive, or over 6 months, Doula Mentorship is a great way to have someone hold you accountable for your goals, brainstorm ideas, and offer feedback.
From the perspective of honoring your integrity and your peace as a birth worker, we’ll figure out how to balance the work with your personal time and make sure you’re getting paid your worth.

Sessions with me begin with breath work and meditation and move into ritual work to help get clarity on your asks/needs. Depending on how long we work together we’ll set goals for your business and I’ll be alongside to help you attain them. Our communication will be in-person, via text and email for folks local to the Puget Sound, and virtual (Zoom), text, and email for folks outside my area.

Whole Body Pregnancy Trainings

postpartum care provider training

Whole Body Pregnant Postpartum Care Provider (Postpartum Doula) Training is a Live, Virtual training for new and established birth workers who want to explore how we care for people after birth. This training centers on how we care for postpartum people and their families through physical support, emotional support, spiritual support, nutrition support, and mental health support.

Too often the focus shifts to the baby once it’s born and Whole Body Pregnancy is interested in re-focusing care onto the person who gave birth. Therefore, Postpartum Doula Training doesn’t cover newborn care or other baby-focused techniques and instead focuses on the people who are transformed by birth.

2024 PPD Training Will Begin:

Whole Body Pregnancy Childbirth Educator Training is rooted in the idea that every pregnant person deserves care that is affirming, loving, and honest. It's about the honor and recognition of the mental and spiritual aspects of pregnancy, labor, birth, and the fourth trimester. It's about creating rituals to honor the transition to parenthood and looking to what we know in our bones about how to nourish and heal the postpartum. It’s about how we prepare and help non-gestational parents and siblings for this shift in identity.

Whole Body Pregnancy aims to bridge the gap between thinking of pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum as separate experiences, and instead views the entire pregnancy spectrum, including fertility, miscarriage, abortion, and pregnancy loss, as one. Whole Body Pregnancy is about examining who we are as birth workers to help better inform who we are for the families we work with.

Whole Body Pregnancy is unapologetically pro-Black, pro-Abortion, pro-Queer. Whole Body Pregnancy works towards anti-racism and centers Queer, Black, Indigenous, and POC teachers to help disrupt the birth world, which is mostly white-lead.

This is spiritual work.

This is physical work.

This is activism work.

This is anti-racism work.

This is Whole Body Pregnancy.
