Postpartum Doula Training
Whole Body Pregnancy Postpartum Doula Training
This spring, I’m offering a postpartum doula training rooted in slowness, careful attention, and sustainability. More than just a standard doula training, this self-paced, holistic certification training is aimed not just at how we care for people after pregnancy, but how we care for ourselves as birth workers.
The Whole Body Pregnancy Postpartum Doula Training is for people who want to become postpartum care providers, or those who want to deepen their existing practice in ways that honor postpartum families beyond the fourth trimester.
We move slowly and purposefully here, not because the work is simple, but because it is tender. This is not a fast certification or a content-heavy course, it is a carefully held training that centers presence, skill, nervous-system awareness, physical bodily care, and long-term sustainability in postpartum care.
Who this Training is For
This training may be a good fit if you are:
An aspiring postpartum doula
A practicing doula or birthworker seeking depth in practice and sustainability in self
A caregiver drawn to postpartum work at a humane pace
Someone who understands that birth is a moment, but postpartum is forever
Someone who wants to do this work from a centered and embodied space
You don’t need to arrive with everything figured out yet. You do need a willingness to slow down, reflect, dance with your shadows, and engage thoughtfully.
How the Training Unfolds
The Postpartum Doula Training unfolds through a self-paced core curriculum, supported by bi-weekly live group check-ins for integration, mentorship, discussions, and reflections. This structure allows the learning to happen at a humane pace; spacious enough to absorb, grounded enough to apply. You’ll move through the core material on your own schedule, while the regular live space and on-going community forums allow you to be witnessed, to ask questions, and to integrate what you’re learning into real world care.
Upon completion of this course you will have:
A strong foundation in postpartum doula care
Language for supporting families without rushing or fixing
Embodied, nervous system informed care giving practices
Traditional postpartum care practices to care for people in the immediate postpartum through the first year after birth
Tactical postpartum support practices to help ground and prepare families for the first year after birth
Greater clarity around personal boundaries, capacity, and sustainability
Confidence rooted in presence rather than performance.
An understanding of the physical postpartum body and how to care for it
Self care practices to keep you rooted in the work in a sustainable way
Insight into the practices of your own lineage
The frame work to create healing postpartum rituals
Working knowledge of postpartum nutrition and care
This training honors self-preservation, self-care and love, not hustle.
